Bolivia
We had to wait a couple of hours at the border crossing with Bolivia until "el capitano" started his shift (two-hours later) - then realised there was no gasoline anywhere nearby once we'd crossed the border. We ended up negotiating our crossing back to Argentina to fill up Jock.
However, the petrol station wouldn't take Bolivianos or Cards, so Fred had to cross the border back into Bolivia once again to change some of his Bolivianos back into Argentinian Pesos.
Finally, with our gas bill paid, we headed back into to Bolivia to start our journey up into the hills. Easy!
After that, we headed for:-
1. Humahuaca Valley
2. Potosi - and that mine tour
3. The Train Cemetary
4. The Salt Lakes at Uyuni
5. La Paz
6. Tihuanaco
After 3 weeks in Bolivia, we crossed the border next to Lake Titikaka into Peru.
